PAYING FOR YOUR VISIT
No payment is taken before your doctor arrives. Payment is made after the consultation.
Your doctor carries a card machine, so you can pay whichever way is easiest for you.
Your doctor provides a receipt showing the diagnosis, treatment and cost, so you can submit a claim. Reimbursement amount depends on your insurance policy.
ON PRICE
People rarely call a doctor to their home on an easy day: a child burning with fever at two in the morning, a parent who has fallen, a wound that will not heal. What you want in that moment is someone who comes, and who stays long enough to be sure.
Whatever the hour, your doctor comes to your home. They sit down. They listen before they examine. They explain until you have understood, and they do not leave until you know what happens next.
Once your doctor has gone, you are not on your own. Our care team follows up when appropriate and remains available if you need guidance after the visit.
Care, given the time it needs.

If you already have a diagnosis, or you need a defined treatment such as a dressing change or ongoing post-surgical care, call our care team for a cost estimate before you book.
With OCS Médecins, a home visit consultation costs Rs 2,000 between 7am and 7pm, and Rs 3,000 between 7pm and 7am. The fee is the same everywhere on the island and includes the doctor’s travel, the full consultation, examination, diagnosis and prescription.
No, there is no surcharge. The day rate applies from 7am to 7pm and the night rate from 7pm to 7am, every day of the year. A doctor is on call on Sundays and public holidays exactly as on any other day.
Payment is taken after the consultation, once your doctor has seen you. You can pay in cash, by card, or with Juice.
We issue a receipt for every visit showing the diagnosis, the treatment and the cost, so you can submit a claim. Whether it is reimbursed depends on your policy, so it is worth checking with your insurer.
The consultation fee covers the doctor’s travel anywhere in Mauritius, a full consultation, physical examination and vital signs, diagnosis, treatment plan and prescription. Treatments provided during the visit, such as an IV, injection or dressing, are charged separately according to the case. Before any additional treatment begins, the doctor explains what is recommended and the applicable cost. If hospital-level emergency care is needed, the doctor will explain this and help arrange the appropriate next step.
If you already have a diagnosis or need a defined treatment, such as a dressing change, our care team can provide an estimate by phone. Otherwise, the doctor must first examine you. After the examination, any treatment beyond the consultation is explained and priced before it begins.
A return visit is a new consultation, charged at the day or night rate depending on the hour. Our care team follows up after every visit, and many questions are settled on the phone at no charge.
No. The consultation fee is the same throughout Mauritius and includes the doctor’s travel. The day and night rates apply everywhere on the island.
