In-home counselling
By appointment, Monday to Saturday, between 10am and 4pm. A session normally lasts up to one hour and takes place at your address.
Counselling asks for more time than a home visit does, and it is better for having it. Sessions are arranged in advance, Monday to Saturday between 10am and 4pm, so that the hour belongs to you and nobody is watching the clock. Tell us when suits you and we will find you the first appointment we can.
You will read elsewhere on this site that a doctor can come at any hour. That is true of medical home visits, and it always will be. Counselling is the one thing we do differently: it sits outside the 24-hour hotline, so it cannot be arranged for the middle of the night. If tonight is hard and you need to talk to someone now, please do not wait for an appointment with us. The numbers below are answered by people trained for exactly this moment, and calling them is the right thing to do.
A counsellor comes to your address at the time agreed. What is discussed is between you and the counsellor.
No waiting room and no travelling on a difficult day. The address and the hour are settled when the appointment is made.
A session normally runs up to one hour. Whether there is a second one, and when, is decided with you rather than in advance.
Rs 3,000 for the session. Nothing is asked of you before it takes place.
Rs 3,000 is also the fee for a doctor’s night consultation, which is a different service with different conditions. A counselling session is Rs 3,000 per session, up to one hour, by appointment, within the hours above. Doctor’s consultation fees are published in full on our pricing page.
No. Counselling sessions run Monday to Saturday, between 10am and 4pm, by appointment. Our 24-hour hotline is for medical home visits and does not arrange counselling outside those hours.
By telephone on 52 52 22 34, or on WhatsApp. Appointments are subject to availability, so the time is agreed with you rather than booked on the spot.
Normally up to one hour.
Rs 3,000 per session. This is a separate service from a doctor’s home visit, which is charged at the consultation rates published on our pricing page.
At your home, at the time agreed when the appointment is made.
Do not wait for the appointment. For a medical emergency, call SAMU on 114. For immediate emotional support, Befrienders Mauritius can be reached on 800 9393 and Helpline Mauritius on 214 2451.
Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, subject to availability.
